After growing up in London, Bill joined the RAF during the War and served with No 75 Sqn RNZAF. During this time, he met his future wife Jean and they married in 1950. After the war, he worked for Pullman, together with a number of companies as an Accountant, before joining TC Harrison, where he remained until his retirement. Bill was a proactive and committed businessman with a wide range of interests. Despite planning an active retirement with his family, sadly Jean died after a short time and most of Bills retirement was spent as a widower. Despite this, he led an active life and whilst he was private man, he maintained his links with friends and colleagues from his business life. He died on 17 Aug surrounded by his son and grandchildren. He is greatly missed and his wicked sense of humour will be remembered by those that knew him.
